What do you need to become a SMART Data Engineer (Py
Spark & Databricks)?

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
• Hands-on experience in building and deploying Py
  Spark pipelines in production environments
• Solid and practical background in Databricks (a key requirement)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Confidence working with large datasets and modern data pipelines
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly explain complex concepts
• Full-time availability and residency in the European Union
• Senior-level profile with autonomy and critical thinking

What will your responsibilities be at SMART?

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines using Py
  Spark and Databricks
• Collaborate with Data Science and Engineering teams to ensure data quality and performance
• Contribute to the design and implementation of solutions in cloud environments
• Analyze and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and delivery processes
• Follow best practices for version control, testing, and continuous deployment
