Senior Data Engineer – Full Remote (Portugal)

Project: Long-Term Migration to Microsoft Fabric

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a
- term project focused on a strategic migration to Microsoft Fabric , working with Databricks and modern data platform technologies. This role is fully remote within Portugal and requires strong expertise across the full data lifecycle, including ETL development and dashboard/report creation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement the
  - term migration to Microsoft Fabric, ensuring a scalable and
  - quality architecture.
• Design, build, and optimize ETL pipelines and data workflows.
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards, ensuring efficient data modeling and performance.
• Work with Databricks and Fabric as core technologies for data processing and analytics.
• Collaborate closely with
  - functional teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
• Ensure best practices in data quality, governance, security, and documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Databricks and Microsoft Fabric (mandatory).
• Solid understanding of ETL processes, data modeling, and distributed data systems.
• Experience developing dashboards and reports with modern BI tools.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote context.
• Based in Portugal .
