Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities
- Build Side:
- Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and performant data pipelines
- Implement robust ETL/ELT processes in cloud or on‑prem environments
- Build efficient data models that support analytical and business needs
- Apply engineering best practices, including CI/CD, testing, version control, and code quality
- Automate end‑to‑end deployment processes to improve delivery speed and reliability
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards
- Collaborate with data analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Integrate new data sources while ensuring data quality, lineage, and governance
- Contribute to architecture discussions and technological decisions for the data platform
- Run Side:
- Monitor daily ETL/ELT jobs and ensure timely resolution of incidents
- Optimize pipeline performance and address operational bottlenecks
- Coordinate actions with production and functional support teams
- Ensure data availability, stability, and quality for end users
- Document data flows, operational procedures, and runbooks
- Manage the release lifecycle across multiple environments (dev, test, prod)
- Ensure compliance with security and data governance standards
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency
Background & Experience
You have at least 3–5 years of experience in demanding data engineering or data platform environments. You enjoy solving complex problems, exploring data, and building scalable solutions. Your ideas matter and technology and collaboration go hand in hand. You also have 3–5 years of experience in challenging engineering, analytics, data operations, or software development environments, and you thrive on building efficient pipelines, automating processes, and working with large‑scale datasets. You are looking for a company where you can grow, take ownership, and contribute to a modern data architecture.
Technical Expertise
- Strong command of SQL and experience with relational databases / data warehouses
- Python applied to data processing and automation
- Linux tools and Agile / Dev
Ops ways of working (CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, Git
Lab CI, etc. ) - Hands‑on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and workflow orchestration (Airflow, Prefect, Luigi, etc. )
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP) is a plus
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, Cloud
Watch, etc. ) - Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and production best practices
