Senior Data Scientist Porto

Overview

As a Senior Data Scientist you will use data analytical and visualization techniques to solve business issues in different geographies. You will produce and optimize data analytics models/tools. Together with the development team you will ensure a high level of scalability for our engines and optimize code (RAM, cores, IT resources) to have light engines. You will run Python-based analytical engines (Direct marketing, inbound marketing, Search) on a regular basis (monthly, weekly, daily) to serve countries and automate these run phases. Mentor Junior members.

Team, Location and Working Model

Welcome to BNP Paribas Personal Finance, where you will join the HUB Analytics Marketing in Lisbon and Porto. A hybrid work model is offered in both locations. You will report to the Team Leader. The marketing side of the Hub includes 3
- sized teams (Data Scientists, Data Analysts and Python developers) working together on complex challenges. The team is growing together with more than 30 colleagues in the same field.

Requirements

• Have a Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
• Strong programming and scripting skills (Python); academic knowledge of machine learning, statistical analysis (AB testing, significance tests), and quantitative analysis skills.
• Knowledge of development pipelines (Git, CI/CD) and agile tools (Jira); databases (relational and graph – Vertica, Oracle, SQL Server); ETL experience; BI/visualization tools (Tableau, Power
  BI).
• Good collaboration, communication, adaptability and initiative;

  - oriented mindset.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• At least 3 years of experience.
