At Finsolutia, we are growing our Information Technology (IT) team and are looking for a Senior Data Warehouse Engineer (M/F) to join us in Lisbon. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys working with data, thrives on solving complex challenges, and wants to play a key role in shaping data‑driven decision‑making across the business.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing and developing data models, ETL pipelines and data integration processes by integrating data from various sources (databases, APIs, streaming platforms, etc. )
- Ensuring every DWH process precision, efficiency and scalability through monitoring, tuning and optimizing the platform
- Help expanding data models of our Data Warehouse and our Data Marts by designing robust structures, tables, and objects
- Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and governance standards
- Design and build impactful Power BI reports and dashboards (Operational, Strategic & Analytical)
- Define and implement best practices, guidelines, and repeatable processes to drive efficiency and quality
- Deliver insights that help the business monitor KPIs and make informed, data‑driven decisions
What We’re Looking For (Hard Skills)
- Solid understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and Modern DWH architecture
- Public Cloud experience (great understanding of Compute, Storage, Networking, Identity, etc)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Dev
Ops practices - Professional experience of configuring and running Databricks on any public cloud (Azure is preferred)
- Strong experience with ETL processes dealing with big amounts of data
- Strong expertise with SQL Server and performance optimization
- Good knowledge and experience with Fabric and Postgre
SQL are strong differentiation points - Proficiency in developing and tuning Power BI dashboards
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in an Enterprise environment OR 7 years in any industry sector
- At least a secondary school qualification (A-Levels or equivalent)
- Fluency in English and Portuguese. Spanish language knowledge is a big plus
