Position Overview & Responsibilities

As a Senior Dev
Ops Engineer joining our small, remotely distributed Dev
Ops Team, you will design, implement, maintain, and support Zig
Zag’s infrastructure and application architecture on Microsoft Azure, ensuring scalable and resilient solutions.

• Infrastructure Management
  
  Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure (Windows/Linux), Kubernetes, Docker, Cosmos DB, and SQL Server. Manage Azure resources prioritizing scalability, reliability, and cost‑efficiency. Monitor system performance, proactively address issues, and optimize performance.
• Continuous Integration and Deployment
  
  Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines on Azure Dev
  Ops and Argo
  CD. Collaborate closely with development teams to optimize release cycles and deployment efficiency. Foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and empowerment.
• Configuration Management
  
  Implement configuration management solutions using Terragrunt, Terraform, Ansible ARM. Manage infrastructure as code to promote consistency and reliability across environments.
• Monitoring and Logging
  
  Implement monitoring solutions using Grafana, Prometheus, and other tools. Configure logging and alerting systems to detect and resolve issues proactively, aiming to minimize alert fatigue.
• Security and Compliance
  
  Implement security best practices and conduct regular security assessments, ensuring compliance with GDPR, SOC 2, and other industry standards.
• Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing
  
  Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, align infrastructure and deployment processes with business objectives, share expertise, and foster continuous learning.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Multiple years of experience in a Dev
  Ops or infrastructure engineering role.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Azure cloud services and architecture.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Good understanding of Helm and Git
  Ops tools like Argo
  CD and Flux.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Power
  Shell, Bash, or Python.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure Dev
  Ops, Git
  Hub Actions, or Git
  Lab CI.
• Practical experience with Grafana, Prometheus, or other monitoring tools.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance principles.
• Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
