Your Mission

As an AWS Senior Dev
Ops Engineer at Mercell, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure and deployment processes. You will focus on building scalable, secure, and automated solutions to enhance system reliability and performance. Collaborating with development and operations teams, you will drive CI/CD best practices, infrastructure as code (Ia
C) adoption, and security enhancements. Your expertise will help streamline workflows, improve monitoring and logging, and ensure high availability and resilience of
- based applications.

What you'll do:

- Architecting a unified application platform to standardize development and delivery across the enterprise

- Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Ia
C) tools such as Terraform with Terragrunt and Cloud
Formation with CDK.

- Develop, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast and reliable software delivery using Git
Hub Actions.

Security & Compliance

- Implement security best practices, monitor cloud environments for vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with industry standards

- Set up logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions to ensure system performance and quick incident resolution.

Performance and Optimization

- Identify and implement optimizations for cost efficiency, scalability, and performance across company services and infrastructure.

- Work closely with development and security teams to streamline workflows, improve automation, and promote Dev
Ops best practices

What you'll bring:

- Strong experience (ideally 5+ years) in Dev
Ops Engineer roles or similar.

- Hands-on experience managing and optimizing AWS Cloud environments.

- Strong proficiency with Terraform, Cloud
Formation for automating cloud resource provisioning.

- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Git
Hub Actions, Git
Lab CI/CD, AWS Code
Pipeline, or similar tools.

- Understanding of AWS security best practices and process how to build secure and reliable SDLC.

- Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud
Watch

- Knowledge of AWS networking concepts

- Experience working with Docker, AWS ECS (or AWS EKS) for containerized application deployment.

- Experience working with AWS Lambda

What will be nice to bring:

- Experience working in Agile teams, following Dev
Ops principles, and collaborating with development and Security teams.

- Hands-on experience managing Azure Cloud environments

- Hands-on experience with one of more popular programming languages

- Experience working as Software engineer in agile team

Locations:

- Portugal, Lisbon (remote): Mercell does not currently have a legal entity in Portugal. Employment will therefore be arranged through a trusted Employer of Record (Eo
R) partner, in line with local regulations. Candidates should be comfortable with this arrangement.

- Netherlands, Utrecht (hybrid): Combination of work from home and
- site presence in our local office, to foster collaboration.
