Senior Electrical Engineer you will perform tasks such as:
- Lead from start to finish project ownership from specification to design, prototype, and manufacturing (e. g. electric vehicle charging points, home batteries, inverters, local controllers, gateways, load monitoring hardware)
- Lead the design and development of digital and analog electronics for control of electronic systems
- Lead hardware and electrical engineers
- Collaborative work with software engineers, project managers and business analysts

About the Role
We are looking for a detail‑oriented and proactive Electrical Engineer to join our Lisbon office. This role is key in designing and developing high‑quality, reliable, and efficient electrical systems for Data Centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems for Data Centers, including power distribution, grounding, lighting, and standby power.
- Create and manage single‑line diagrams, electrical schematics, and panel schedules using EPLAN and Revit.
- Perform power system analysis (short circuit, load flow, arc flash, protection coordination) using ETAP.
- Develop and validate lighting and emergency lighting designs using DIALux.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, civil, architectural) to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Participate in peer design reviews, ensuring compliance with international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA 70E).
- Prepare detailed design documentation, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Support commissioning teams and respond to RFIs during construction phases.
- Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and global data center design standards.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in mission‑critical power systems.
- Collaborate closely with design partners from other engineering disciplines.
Required Skills and Experience
Junior: 3+ years.
Intermediate: 5+ years.
Senior: 8+ years (including at least 2 years leading data center or mission‑critical infrastructure design).
- Preferably proficient in or familiar with:
- ETAP (power systems modeling and analysis).
- EPLAN (electrical schematics and control panel design).
- Revit (BIM modeling and coordination).
- DIALux (lighting simulation and design).
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (NEC, IEC, IEEE, NFPA 70E).
- Familiarity with Tier classifications (Uptime Institute) and redundancy concepts ( N+1, 2N).
- Experience in mission‑critical environments (data centers, telecom, hospitals, etc. ).
- Exposure to HV/MV substations, switchgear layouts, and BMS integration.
- Knowledge of digital twin concepts or energy monitoring systems is a plus.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in English (mandatory); other languages are an advantage.

Electrical Engineer (relocation to the Netherlands)
As a Hardware Engineer EPLAN, you will be responsible for designing, specifying, and drawing electrical schematics and control panels. You will work on various projects within industrial automation, operating both independently and collaboratively. Your tasks will include:
- Designing and drafting electrical schematics using EPLAN software.
- Specifying and selecting the necessary hardware components.
- Collaborating with other engineers and project managers to understand and translate technical specifications into practical designs.
