Position Summary
Join a driven and
- performing Engineering team supporting Hilton's Architecture, Design, Construction, and Development department, facilitating the delivery of Hilton's growth plans through the development and delivery of excellent hotels across the region.
As a highly skilled and driven Engineer, you will support the Senior Director of Engineering Support in developing, managing, and implementing Hilton ESG targets, sustainable engineering solutions, engineering excellence across all MEP disciplines, and fire life safety standards for all Brands in the EMEA estate. You will also provide advice and support to the Hilton project management team, external design teams, and owners on new developments, Property Improvement Plans, refurbishments, and adaptive reuse projects.
This role will include but is not limited to assisting the Senior Director of Engineering Support with:
- Development and implementation of engineering and fire life safety standards for all Hilton Brands in EMEA, including
- specific standards and liaising with Brand Managers. - Maintaining current and accessible copies of all Design and Construction Standards related to engineering and fire safety for all Brands.
- Reviewing building engineering services drawings for compliance with brand standards across projects and countries.
- Inspiring and directing our vision for ESG.
- Collaborating with the Area Operations Engineering team to review hotel performance
- opening and using feedback to improve future designs. - Developing knowledge of engineering construction design guidelines and ensuring they are

- date. - Reviewing local codes and communicating implications to the Senior Director.
- Developing strategies for engineering processes, procedures, and reporting.
- Supporting project designs, construction visits, testing, and commissioning of systems.

- discipline MEP projects, primarily based in Spain or Portugal with extensive travel.
What will I be doing?
Planning Activities
- Researching local codes and identifying business opportunities.
- Managing objectives and projects, conducting site inspections, and team meetings.
- Supporting knowledge sharing through CPDs.
- Establishing priorities and supporting the Engineering team.
- Communicating plans, objectives, and ESG goals.
- Streamlining business processes and managing
- departmental links. - Monitoring engineering performance standards and developing
- term ESG and departmental goals.
Directing Activities
- Implementing departmental processes and overseeing engineering standards.
- Communicating with team members and influencing department objectives.
- Managing
- party vendors and monitoring service quality. - Advising management, conducting design reviews, site visits, and witnessing commissioning.
- Reporting on project reviews, sustainability, and project status.
Controlling Activities
- Ensuring compliance with engineering standards and performance metrics.
- Assessing performance, enforcing policies, and operating within budgets.
Supportive functions
Contributing to
- skilled projects, conducting industry analysis, and performing other duties as assigned.
What are we looking for?
We seek Engineers eager to deliver engineering excellence, sustainability, and innovation. Ideal candidates will have:
- Knowledge of MEP design, project management, and commissioning.
- Sustainability expertise in design.
- Understanding of local regulations and infrastructure challenges.
- Fluency in English, with Spanish or Portuguese preferred, and French advantageous.
- Experience in North Africa is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, ethical, initiative,
- solving, and project management skills. - Ability to work under pressure and collaborate effectively.
Required qualifications
- University degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or related field.
- Recognized professional qualification in engineering.
- Significant experience in hotel development and construction, preferably within an international hotel group.
Preferred qualifications
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Hospitality industry experience.
- Knowledge of hotel systems, fire and safety standards, and European regulations.
- Practical onsite experience including testing and commissioning.
