? About the Role:
At our company, we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to support our Finance Implementation Projects team.
This mission is integrated within the COO – Finance Solutions Office, responsible for deploying a harmonized Finance Operating Model across the Group.
The Finance Implementation Projects Portugal unit works closely with the central FIP team to:
- Roll out the One Financial System (OFS) in alignment with the global Finance strategy.
- Design, develop and implement financial interfaces between Business operating systems and Finance systems.
- Implement remediation plans related to financial interfaces.
You will handle functional solutions for financial interfaces feeding key reporting streams: financial accounting, management accounting, liquidity, and credit risk.
The Portugal team is structured into three main streams:
- Capital Markets Products
- Corporate Banking Products
- Retail Banking Products
? Profile:
We are looking for a Business Analyst with:
- Senior-level experience (minimum 3 years in banking, accounting, or finance).
- A Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
? Main Responsibilities:
? Project Management Contribution:
- Work closely with FIP Project Managers throughout all project phases (daily collaboration).
- Follow the project management methodology defined by the central team.
- Respect project milestones and budget constraints.
- Contribute to workaround solutions when issues arise impacting timelines or costs.
- Produce regular project status updates for Project Managers and Team Leaders.
- Participate in project committees, presenting progress, decisions, and next steps.
? Functional Specifications & Project Implementation:
- Define operational and accounting schemes, including control frameworks based on initial project needs.
- Define data flow structures needed to feed Finance systems.
- Produce functional specifications for IT teams (operating systems, financial IT, engineering teams).
- Coordinate activities across all stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
- Update chart of accounts when required for the project solution.
- Contribute to testing strategy and conduct full accounting and reporting test phases.
- Provide aftercare support to reporting users.
? Support & Maintenance of Accounting Interfaces:
- Manage requests within your scope in coordination with team leaders, according to priorities.
- Contribute to testing activities when required.
? Technical Skills:
- Project management experience
- Knowledge of general or banking accounting (a plus)
- Knowledge of banking or capital markets products
- Familiarity with financial information systems
- Strong MS Excel skills
? Language Skills:
- English: Expert
- Portuguese: Operational
