At Pleo we’re on a mission to revolutionise business spend management. This hybrid role blends hands‑on data engineering with project leadership and is ideal for a senior analyst who wants to influence strategy while driving delivery.
About the Role
In this unique two‑hatted position you will:
- Spend roughly 70 % of your time as a senior Individual Contributor focused on the Marketing group, architecting analytics foundations for our B2B marketing engine (multitouch attribution, ABM funnel tracking, campaign ROI).
- Allocate about 30 % of your time as a Project Lead for the wider Business Analytics team, managing work planning, agile delivery and stakeholder coordination without people management responsibilities.
What You’ll Be Doing
Full‑Stack Analyst (Hands‑on work)
- Own the Marketing Data Domain – serve as the go‑to expert for Marketing stakeholders, especially Performance Marketing, enabling spend optimisation.
- Refactor & rebuild existing dashboards, design a new attribution framework from the ground up, and establish a robust ROI measurement model across our B2B buyer journey.
- Use SQL and dbt to model complex datasets (e. g. , ABM metrics, funnel velocity) and visualise insights for non‑technical stakeholders.
- Improve data quality – collaborate with stakeholders to ensure proper tracking instrumentation (Segment, Amplitude).
Project Lead (Leadership work)
- Facilitate the Business Analytics team’s agile rituals (sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives) to keep the team focused.
- Serve as the “air traffic controller” for incoming requests from Finance, Sales, and Marketing, triaging and assigning workstreams.
What You Bring
- Senior analytics experience with expert‑level proficiency in SQL and dbt.
- Non‑negotiable B2B marketing analytics expertise – proven experience with ABM, understanding of lead vs. account differentiation, and strong ROI/ROAS metrics.
- Experience running agile processes (Scrum/Kanban) for technical teams, breaking large projects into shippable tasks.
- Strong communication skills – able to navigate a political environment and set boundaries with stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Python and tracking tools like Segment or Amplitude is a plus.
Why This Role Is a Good Fit for You
- You are a senior IC eager to try leadership without leaving code entirely.
