We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with experience in GCP and Terraform to join our Client's team on a remote working model from Portugal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy data collectors in Adverity to gather data from media, agency systems, and other sources.
• Develop and expand existing data transformations in SQL via DBT running on Google Cloud Platform.
• Build and maintain data quality checks and procedures to ensure reliable and accurate reporting solutions.
• Translate user requirements and business needs into clear technical specifications.
• Work extensively with Google Cloud Platform, applying industry best practices.
• Monitor automated jobs and troubleshoot data issues as they arise.
• Support team members in “last mile” data transformation and visualization using Google Data Studio.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to junior data engineers, sharing best practices and technical guidance.
• Offer
  - on support to reporting solution users, helping triage and resolve
  - related queries.
• Represent the data engineering team in stakeholder meetings, presenting solutions and updates.
• Develop strong working relationships with
  - party data providers to ensure consistent data access.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.
• Proven experience in data engineering, ideally working with advertising media or marketing data.
• Professional experience with SQL, preferably deployed via DBT.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex technical challenges.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
• Strong spoken and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Passion for the digital marketing ecosystem and the role of data in driving decisions.
• Team-oriented approach with proven ability to collaborate effectively across varying levels of technical expertise.

Desirable:

• Previous experience working with data and technology in marketing or related industries.
• Familiarity with digital marketing platforms and the data they generate (Google Marketing Platform, Facebook, Twitter, etc. ).
• Understanding of data tracking and exchange in digital advertising (e. g. , ad servers and
  - party vendors).
• Experience building reports with BI tools, ideally Google Data Studio.
• Work experience in a marketing organization, media agency, publisher, ad tech, or client marketing environment.
