About the Role

We are expanding our Finance Team in Lisbon with an ambitious,
- minded, and motivated Senior GL Accountant with French language skills. You will primarily handle GL accounting and tax compliance for French subsidiaries, collaborating closely with other accounting and controlling teams. You will also support other countries as needed.

Responsibilities

1. Manage general accounting, including monthly closes, excluding most Order to Cash aspects.
2. Ensure tax compliance (VAT, Income Taxes, Local Business Taxes).
3. Assist with financial and tax audits.
4. Handle cash reconciliation, treasury management, and payments.
5. Process supplier invoices, with some automation.
6. Contribute to process optimization, automation, and controls.

Minimum Requirements

1. At least 5 years of accounting experience in an international environment, with direct French accounting and tax compliance expertise.
2. Fluent in English and proficient in business French.
3. Excellent teamwork and communication skills, both written and verbal.
4. Strong ERP skills, particularly with Business Central.
5. Proficient in Excel.
6. Disciplined and structured approach to data management.
7. Attention to detail with a good overview.
8. Ability to learn quickly, adapt, and develop skills.
