Overview
Senior Human Resources Business Partner – EMEA – Fixed Term Contract
Full-Time for Fixed Term Contract (Beginning November 2025 to
- July 2026)
Location: Porto-Lisbon-Coimbra (MUST BE BASED IN PORTUGAL). Preference for Porto or Lisbon.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with US-based corporate leadership to align regional activities with corporate priorities and serve as a bridge across EMEA and US operations.
- Partner with
- country leadership (Germany, Portugal, Spain, and UK) to build
- based relationships and align leadership, functions, teams, and individuals with business priorities. - Own and drive HR initiatives under the management of the VP-HR in the U. S.
- Payroll, Benefits & Compliance – Own payroll for Portugal; partner internally and externally for Germany and Spain payroll; administer benefits (Coverflex, Advance
Care); manage external partners (KMED and others). - HR Programs & Processes – Manage employee lifecycle programs (onboarding, offboarding, career pathing, learning and development via Udemy for Business, referral program, policies, payroll, compliance, reporting).
- Employee Experience & Events – Plan and lead engagement initiatives, coworking days, and HR-led events, ensuring cultural alignment and measurable outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years as an HRBP in a multinational or technology/e-commerce environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of HR practices across multiple EMEA countries (Portugal, Spain, Germany, UK) with ability to navigate differing labor laws, payroll, and compliance requirements.
- Experience calculating and managing payroll and benefits in Portugal; exposure to EMEA-wide payroll/benefits vendors and platforms.
- Event planning and employee engagement program design experience.
- Proven ability to influence and partner with senior leaders across geographies, time zones, and functions.
- Strong experience in employee relations and talent development.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms and comfort with reporting/analytics.
- Exceptional communication skills in Portuguese and English (written and spoken).
- Additional language expertise in Spanish preferred.
- Ability to work independently, handle ambiguity, and deliver results under a
- term contract. - Ability to work a modified workday/workweek with appropriate overlap with leadership in U. S. time zone.
- MUST BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN PORTUGAL.

Pay and Benefits (PORTUGAL)
- Compensation competitive to market and geographical location.
- Meal allowance for each day worked available through meal card.
- Home/Office allowance reimbursement per calendar month,
- rated based on employment start date. - Health insurance: Tillster pays the premium for employee private health insurance; employees have the option to add spouses/dependents at the employee’s cost.
- Holidays: Up to 20 federal and local/municipal holidays in accordance with applicable Portuguese Labor laws, dependent on your employment start date.
- Vacation: Up to 22 days of vacation every holiday year,
