Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting Incidents: Systematically identify, analyze, and resolve intricate issues within network infrastructures to restore optimal functionality. Use advanced knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and software to isolate problems, conduct root cause analysis, and implement solutions. Collaborate with team members and leverage diagnostic tools for rapid resolution.
- Incident Response: Detect and respond promptly to network failures, performance issues, and security breaches. Diagnose and resolve network issues.
- System Administration: Manage environments with physical and virtual servers in public and private clouds. Administer monitoring and infrastructure services like AD, DNS, and DHCP.
- Virtualization: Operate virtualization environments using vendors such as VMware and Hyper-V, ensuring high availability through SAN networks, fabric switches, clusters, and storage solutions.
- Security Assessment: Implement and maintain security measures, conduct security audits, and vulnerability assessments.
- Server Management: Configure and maintain servers, install operating systems, and perform system maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Update/Patch Management: Apply firmware and software updates to enhance stability and security.
- Collaboration: Work with network engineers, cybersecurity experts, and developers to address issues.
- Emergency Response: Be available for call services outside regular hours if needed.
- Automation/Dev
Ops Tools: Use scripting and automation tools to optimize operations. - Documentation: Maintain documentation of configurations and procedures.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant fields; certifications like Azure, AWS, MCSE, CCNA are preferred.
- Experience: Over 8 years in systems administration or datacenter operations.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in physical and virtual servers, infrastructure services, monitoring tools, and OS (Windows and Linux).
- Familiarity with web/application servers and datacenter operations.
- Security awareness, including system hardening, firewalls, intrusion detection, EDR, backups.
- Scripting skills (e. g. , Python) and automation tools.
Soft Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure during emergencies.
- Leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Strategic planning skills.
