Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Compute - Porto

Responsibilities:

Perform
- level systems analysis, evaluation, design, integration, and implementation of virtualization (VMware and Open
Stack), compute (Cisco UCS), storage (SAN/NAS), and storage networking (Cisco MDS) technologies.
Build, manage, and support highly available, secure, and scalable production and lab infrastructure (compute and storage) in global data centers.
Monitor environments, troubleshoot alerts & incidents, and resolve infrastructure issues.
Utilize observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Syslog.
Research and recommend new compute, virtualization, and storage technologies to enhance system performance and reliability.
Automate operational tasks using Python and Ansible.
Administer Linux Operating Systems (Ubuntu, Cent
OS, Red Hat).
Understand IPv4 networking protocols.
Create and maintain documentation and provide training.
Perform maintenance during
- hours and participate in
- call rotations.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience managing infrastructure systems including compute, virtualization, storage, and storage networking, preferably in data centers.
Experience supporting 24x7
- critical environments.
Hands-on experience with Cisco UCS, VMware (v
Sphere, v
Center, ESXi/ESX), and Open
Stack KVM.
Experience with SAN (3PAR, PURE), NAS (Net
App, PURE), and Cisco MDS switches.
Proficiency in scripting and automation with Ansible and Python; Power
Shell is a plus.
Linux expertise is essential.
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Certifications in VMware and Cisco UCS are highly preferred.
