What would you do at Prisma?
You’ll be part of our Prisma Data Platform team which is responsible for Accelerate, Prisma Postgres and the bare metal cloud that those products are built on.
Responsibilities (selected examples)
- Choose and deploy a globally distributed configuration store (like etcd, rqlite) for encrypted authentication to enable global routing for Prisma Postgres.
- Improve automation of our servers to reduce maintenance overhead and provisioning times.
- Configure, deploy, monitor, and debug a
- edge containerization platform that drives both internal and external tooling and services. - Participate in a shared
- call rotation to help ensure reliability of our systems, with emphasis on fair scheduling, strong tooling, and a culture that values
- life balance.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, Dev
Ops, or platform engineering, operating
- scale systems with a focus on Linux, networking, and cloud environments. - Experience building and scaling resilient distributed systems across bare metal and cloud platforms (AWS, Cloudflare); strong understanding of systems architecture and reliability patterns.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or similar) and automation practices to manage reproducible, scalable environments.
- High standards for quality, taking ownership and driving meaningful impact; strong communication in English, both written and verbal.
- Deep expertise in Linux server administration and networking, including provisioning, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and hardening aligned to security best practices. Bash and Debian;
- level debugging is advantageous. - Strengthen and scale a mature security posture across Cloud environments, IAM and secrets management, secure networking and
- trust access controls, CI/CD and dependency hygiene, API and application security best practices, and audit readiness. - Critical thinking with clear, structured reasoning; ability to plan, anticipate challenges, and keep stakeholders aligned.
- Advantageous: Hands-on programming experience in Go, Python, or other scripting languages to build tools and automation that improve developer and operator experience.
