Senior Insurance Associate
Greenvolt is looking for a Senior Insurance Associate, with a focus on insurance management to support the business operations and the implementation of risk management strategy. This role will be integrated in the Risk Management team and will work closely with key
- makers to ensure that risks related to the business and operations are adequately identified and safeguarded through appropriate insurance policies. In addition, this role will assist with several projects where the team is involved in and will provide knowledge and skills to manage insurable risks across the Group.
Main activities:
- Negotiate and manage insurance policies essential to business operations, ensuring they remain current and aligned with business needs;
- Evaluate and compare various insurance options by analysing conditions to ensure adequate risk coverage for the business, taking into account appropriate premiums, deductibles, and policy terms;
- Ensure proper and correct functioning of internal and external communication with relevant stakeholders;
- Act as liaison with the Legal and Procurement teams to ensure that risk and insurance clauses in contracts are applicable and aligned with company standards;
- Collaborate closely with the M&A and Project Finance teams on relevant projects
- Effectively manage insurance claims to safeguard stakeholder interests and ensure timely resolution of issues;
- Conduct risk analysis on suppliers, EPC, Bo
S, O&M, and lenders' contracts to ensure appropriate coverage is in place; - Collaborate with Business Continuity teams to ensure risk alignment in emergency response and crisis management plans;
- Support implementation of risk intelligence tools to centralize documentation, claims, policies, and exposures for better
- making; - Support the development and review of policies and procedures.
Profile and Skills to success:
- A candidate with Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent by experience, in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Business Management or other relevant fields of expertise, a Master Degree is a plus;
- A candidate with 5 to 8 years of experience in insurance management activities or companies related to insurance market will be valued;
- Experience in the Renewable Energy sector or Utility Scale projects (e. g. Solar, Wind, BESS) is a plus;
- Understanding risks related to construction, property, financial, operational, compliance, cyber and ESG/sustainability will be valued;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite;
- Fluent in English (other languages are a plus)
- Good communication skills and willingness to work in an international environment;
- Flexibility, resilience and good adaptability are also needed;

- solving skills; - Collaborative, strong sense of business ethics and integrity.
- Location can be based in Lisbon or Madrid .
