Position Overview

We are looking for a talented and driven Senior IP Network Engineer to join our IP Networks Team and help design, build, and manage the future of our global IP infrastructure. This role focuses on
- edge networking technologies, including SDN, and aims to create scalable, secure, and
- performance network solutions.

As a Senior IP Engineer / Architect, you will shape and evolve our global IP backbone, ensuring it supports interconnections with Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and spans
- continental data centers. You will leverage SDN technologies to design and optimise architectures that ensure scalability, security, and performance across regions.

Key Responsibilities

• SD-WAN Implementation & Optimisation: Lead deployment and optimisation of SD-WAN to enhance WAN performance, simplify management, and reduce costs across the global infrastructure
• SDN Architecture & Integration: Architect and implement SDN solutions to drive network automation, flexibility, and scalability with centralised control
• Global Network Design: Design, deploy, and manage a
  - performance global IP backbone with reliable interconnections to MNOs and
  - continental data center connectivity
• Traffic Optimisation: Use SD-WAN to optimise traffic, enable intelligent routing, and minimise latency across regions
• Cloud Integration: Integrate with cloud environments to ensure high availability, low latency, and scalable connectivity across AWS, OCI, and other platforms
• Network Security & Compliance: Implement robust security policies for SD-WAN, Zero Trust, VPNs, and firewalls with
  - border data flow compliance
• Collaboration & Cross-Functional Engagement: Work with business units to deliver network solutions that meet evolving needs and ensure seamless service delivery
• Automation & Orchestration: Use Terraform, Ansible, and SD-WAN controllers to streamline deployments and optimise configurations
• Performance Monitoring & Optimisation: Continuously monitor and improve network performance using SD-WAN analytics and SDN tools
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain thorough network documentation and provide clear reports on performance, scalability, and security

Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years as an IP/Networking Engineer with designing, deploying, and managing
  - availability, scalable intercontinental networks
• Mobile IP Networks & Backhaul: Experience with IP-based mobile backhaul for 4G/5G networks
• SD-WAN & SDN: Expertise with SD-WAN/SDN technologies (e. g. , Cisco ACI) for automation and backbone optimisation
• IPv6 & Qo
  S: Strong experience with IPv6 and Qo
  S configuration
• Data Center & Backbone Design: Designing and managing global IP backbones and interconnected data centers for high performance
• Advanced Network Protocols: TCP/IP stack, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS), and related technologies
• Network Security & Compliance: IPSec VPNs, security hardening, and compliance frameworks (PCI-DSS, ISO27001, CIS)
• Layer 2 & Layer 3 Management: Experience with Layer 2 (STP, MSTP) and Layer 3 networks with MPLS
• Network Automation & Ia
  C: Proficient in Terraform, Ansible, and related tools
• Network Monitoring & Observability: Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, SNMP, and Wireshark
• High-Performance Networking: Ability to design for WAN optimization and latency reduction
• Leadership & Collaboration: Ability to mentor engineers and drive network strategy
