We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our
- impact engineering team responsible for building backend services that power our advertising platform. This role is critical to delivering scalable, secure, and performant solutions for advertiser onboarding, campaign management, reporting, and billing.

As a senior engineer, you'll contribute to core service development, participate in architectural decisions, and help ensure our systems meet high availability and performance demands at scale.

Essential functions

Contribute to the full software development lifecycle: design, build, test, deploy, support

Develop robust APIs and backend services using Java and Spring Boot 5/6

Handle production support, including troubleshooting, incident triage, and root cause analysis

Implement secure and efficient session management strategies to support authentication and user flows

Partner with internal teams to optimize system performance and improve developer experience

Implement clean, scalable designs aligned with architectural best practices

Participate in code reviews, drive engineering standards, and mentor

Qualifications

6+ years of
- on experience in Java development

Strong programming expertise in Java (JDK 17+; ideally 21)

Hands-on experience with Spring Boot 5 and 6

Experience building RESTful APIs and backend orchestration layers

Experience with OAuth2, JWT handling with Spring Security

Strong systems thinking and architectural design skills

Understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and memory management

Familiar with unit testing frameworks like Test
Ng, JUnit, Mockito

Strong experience with Log4j2, SLF4J, with awareness of log injection and Log4j vulnerabilities.

Would be a plus

Experience with Redis caching

Familiarity with Splunk and/or Datadog for monitoring and log analysis

Comfortable working with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
