We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our banking technology team. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining
- performance, scalable, and secure applications that support critical banking functions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java-based backend development combined with modern frontend frameworks,
- native architecture, and experience in
- scale,
- critical environments.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Software Design & Development:

Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JDBC, and Postgre
SQL.

Build and enhance responsive web applications with Angular and Type
Script.

Apply a Domain-Driven Design (DDD) approach to ensure solutions are
- structured, maintainable, and aligned with business needs.

Cloud-Native & Containerized Solutions:

Develop, deploy, and manage applications in containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.

Work with cloud platforms to optimize application scalability, performance, and availability.

Integration & Data Management:

Design and implement API integrations and data persistence solutions.

Ensure efficient and secure database interactions with Postgre
SQL.

Collaboration & CI/CD:

Collaborate with
- functional teams including Product Owners, Business Analysts, and QA Engineers to deliver
- quality solutions.

Use Git and CI/CD platforms to manage code, automate builds, and streamline deployments.

Quality & Best Practices:

Apply clean code principles, code reviews, and automated testing to ensure high code quality.

Maintain strong security and compliance standards in line with banking regulations.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

5+ years of professional experience in software development, with strong expertise in:

Backend: Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JDBC, Postgre
SQL.

Frontend: Angular, Type
Script.

Dev
Ops & Cloud: Git, CI/CD platforms, Docker, Kubernetes.

Architecture: Domain-Driven Design (DDD).

Proven track record of delivering
- grade applications, preferably in banking or financial services.

Strong understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and
- driven systems.

Excellent
- solving skills and ability to work in a
- paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills
Experience in regulated industries such as banking or insurance.

Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, Rabbit
MQ) and caching solutions (Redis).

Knowledge of performance tuning and security hardening for banking applications.

Must be physically in Portugal, and a work at the office 3/5 days a week from Lisbon or Porto Office.
