Overview

Senior Java Engineer (f/m/div. ) – Bosch Portugal, Ovar, Aveiro region. Join our Competence Center for Software and Services to contribute to the NEXOSPACE Io
T platform for smart buildings. You will build core Java Spring Boot microservices, shape cloud infrastructure, and own CI/CD pipelines with a Dev
Ops mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and scale
  - quality Java Spring Boot microservices on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Own and enhance the CI/CD pipelines in Azure Dev
  Ops to enable rapid and reliable software delivery.
• Collaborate on architecting and implementing robust Azure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Bicep/Pulumi).
• Champion clean code and test automation, applying modern software engineering practices.
• Lead efforts to enhance the security posture of applications and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and infrastructure issues across the full stack.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the strategic direction of software and cloud platforms.
• Mentor teammates, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices in Java,
  - native development, and Dev
  Ops.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Extensive experience designing and building scalable,
  - grade Java applications with the Spring Boot ecosystem.
• Dev
  Ops mindset with
  - on experience in Azure or similar cloud platforms; experience in Platform Engineering is a plus.
• Container & Orchestration: Docker and Kubernetes (AKS); experience building optimized images and deployment manifests.
• Infrastructure as Code: experience with Bicep or Pulumi is a strong plus.
• Automation: scripting in Bash and/or Type
  Script in Linux environments.
• Networking: knowledge of Azure Networking (VNet, Private Link, VPN).
• Strong communication skills in English and Portuguese; collaborative mindset.
