SENIOR JAVA ENGINEER (HYBRID) Lisboa

Overview

We are looking for a
- on Senior Java Engineer with strong expertise in Java, REST APIs, Jenkins, and Cloud technologies. You will play a key role in building scalable,
- quality software, while also contributing to automation, prototyping, and operational excellence.

Location: Portugal (details to be confirmed – hybrid/onsite preferred). Candidates for this position must already be located in Portugal. Language Requirements: Fluent English. Seniority: 7+ years.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Hibernate, REST API, and Cloud platforms (e. g. , PCF).
• Collaborate in an Agile operating model, working closely with engineers, Tech Leads, and
  - functional teams to deliver excellent user experiences.
• Automate and simplify development, testing, deployment, and operational processes.
• Experiment with new frameworks and technologies, assist in prototyping, and ensure
  - quality coding standards.
• Document knowledge and mentor new team members.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, identify root causes, and implement permanent fixes.
• Support development environment management, connectivity setup, and provisioning developer access to tools and resources.
• Ensure smooth maintenance, runtime, and operational performance of platform software.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of software development experience with: Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Hibernate
• REST APIs, Jenkins, Git, Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF)
• Advanced knowledge of Software Engineering concepts and methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting,
  - solving, and root cause analysis skills.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and
  - driven, able to deliver under pressure.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills (verbal & written).
