We are growing fast, and as our customers expect faster and more reliable data, we are looking for a Senior/Lead Data Engineer to help us scale data pipelines. As a Senior/Lead Data Engineer at Joom
Pulse, you’ll scale our data warehouse while keeping it
- architected, maintainable, and aligned with growing SLO and data quality needs. You’ll move fast during prototyping and focus on stability as products scale. The role calls for autonomy, proactivity, and curiosity about how users analyze data and how we can make them more productive, as well as taking responsibility for leading projects and delivering them on time.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and evolution of data warehouse architecture
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to prepare datasets for new features, balancing usefulness, cost efficiency, and development speed
• Troubleshoot and resolve
  - reported data issues
• Define and monitor data quality and SLOs for critical datasets
• Mentor teammates and promote data engineering best practices

Requirements

• Proficient in advanced SQL
• Familiarity with data modeling (dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, etc. )
• Experience with analytical databases (Big
  Query, Click
  House, Snowflake, etc. )
• Experience with Apache Spark (Py
  Spark, Spark SQL)
• Experience completing large and complex projects

Preferred

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc. )
• Familiarity with ETL process schedulers (Airflow, Prefect, etc. )
• Practical experience with Python
