Responsibilities

• Generate custom Operating System images for embedded devices
• Develop and adapt device drivers for specific hardware platforms
• Configure networking and port Linux OS to ARM and Power
  PC-based embedded systems
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, and testing
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary R&D team in an informal and
  - driven environment

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of Linux development in both user space and kernel space
• Experience with device driver development and adaptation
• Familiarity with Linux Preempt RT extensions for
  - time systems
• Proficiency in OS image generation tools such as Yocto and Open
  Embedded
• Strong programming skills in C/C++
• Understanding of networking protocols and topologies
• Team-oriented,
  - organized,
  - driven, and passionate about learning
• Strong
  - solving and debugging skills
• Availability to work in a hybrid model from Maia, Portugal

Nice to Have

• Experience with compiling and
  - compilation tools (GCC, toolchains)
• Familiarity with RTOS such as Free
  RTOS or Zephyr
• Scripting skills in Python and Bash
• Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts (certificates, secure protocols, TPM, encryption, Open
  SSH, firewall configuration)
• Experience in Layer 2 and Layer 3 network application development
• Understanding of time synchronization protocols (IEEE 1588v2 / PTP)
• Familiarity with virtualization tools (Docker, KVM)
• Understanding of electronics and lab instrumentation
• Experience with version control systems (SVN, Git)
