About the Data Curation Team
Our Data Curation team ensures
- tier data quality through meticulous curation, desk research, classification, content review, and moderation. As the Team Lead Data Quality, you will serve as the local leader in Lisbon, responsible for the

- day management and development of the Data Curation team. You will also lead remote teams across different time zones (Americas, Asia) and work closely with our Amsterdam-based Head of Research Operations, Head of People, Support team, and COO. This role will involve
- on team leadership, operational efficiency, and continuous process scaling.
As our Team Lead Data Quality, you’ll
- Lead Locally: Serve as the people leader in Lisbon, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and high performance for our Curation Team, and supporting similar efforts for our Support team and other core functions.
- Team Management: Oversee the daily operations of the Curation team, ensuring efficient workflows and resource allocation.
- Team Building: Drive hiring efforts as we implement our expansion plans, support onboarding of new team members, and cultivate a strong, collaborative team environment.
- Support and Lead Scaling Processes: Assist in scaling data operations efficiently as our local operations grow, including by supporting our Operations team and local partners to leverage local opportunities.
- Drive Improvements and Efficiency: Identify and implement operational optimizations to enhance data quality, in close collaboration with our Head of Research Operations, our Research, Sales, Data Engineering, and Product teams.
- Arbitrate on Priorities, Capacity, and Resource Allocation: Ensure the team is working on the
- impact projects and is properly resourced. - Learn and Grow: Gain deep expertise in Venture Capital, funding cycles, ecosystem benchmarking and analysis, as well as data quality management, working closely with leadership to refine processes and develop your own, and your team’s expertise in the field.
What You Bring
- Experience: 5+ years in data quality management, data operations, or a related field.
- Leadership: 2+ years in a leadership role, including managing remote or hybrid teams. Rapid expansion and hiring of a team is a must.
- (Technical) Expertise: A strong grasp of data governance, QA methodologies, and data validation frameworks. Experienced in SQL and Google Big
Query. - Project Management: Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with excellent project management skills.
- Analytical Acumen: A sharp,
- oriented analytical mindset for
- solving. - Passion: A demonstrated enthusiasm for technology, startups, and venture capital markets.
- Academic Credentials: A completed Master's or Bachelor's degree in Business Information Technology, Finance, Economics, or Content Management.
- Mindset: A proactive, accountable, and urgent approach to work.
- Adaptability: Comfort in a
- paced startup environment where continuous learning, OKRs, ongoing feedback, and curiosity drive success. - Eligibility: Eligibility to work in the EU and fluency in English. Additional language skills are a plus (welkom/wilkommen/bienvenido/kyaosopartaal).
