Centre for Predictive and Preventive Genetics (CGPP, www.cgpp. pt) is hiring a new team member to participate in the validation of genetic test reports.

The successful candidate will work directly under the supervision of the laboratory director to identify
- causing variants in hereditary conditions using
- edge genomic technologies. They will also participate in the validation of methods and laboratory procedures.

Job Requirements:

Nationally recognized title of specialty (compliant with Portaria n. º 91/2024/1) in human genetics or medical genetics and registration within the respective professional body;
Formal training and experience in all currently used molecular biology techniques;
>3 years of experience in interpretation/validation of genetic results and (co)signing molecular genetic test / clinical reports;
Experience in interpretation/validation of genetic test results obtained through methodologies such as Sanger sequencing, fragment analysis, q
PCR, or MLPA;
Knowledge of bioinformatics processing, common software, and databases, especially in the classification and interpretation of variants from
- exome sequencing or targeted gene panels;
Clinical laboratory expertise necessary for generating medical diagnostic reports;
High motivation, good communication, and organizational skills;
Good interpersonal relationships and capability to work collaboratively.
