We are looking for a Senior Network Security Specialist to join our Client's team on a hybrid working model from Lisbon.

Key Responsibilities:

Firewall Installations and Configurations:

• Install and configure 8x Check Point firewalls (4 clusters) to replace existing systems.
• Configure 22x Fortinet firewalls for the Physical Security Department according to predefined designs.

Migration Projects:

• Migrate rules from Cisco ASA firewalls to the new Fortinet system.
• Transition application publications from Microsoft TMG to Forti
  Web appliances.

Support Tasks:

• Conduct system analysis, migration planning, and documentation for Physical Security systems.
• Assist internal teams during firewall installations across multiple buildings.
• Perform operational tests and troubleshooting to validate configurations.

Required Technical Skills:

• Advanced administration of firewalls:
• Check Point (Smart
  Console, GAi
  A OS, layered policies, security blades).
• Fortinet (Forti
  Gate, Forti
  Manager, Forti
  Analyzer).
• Network security architecture design and implementation.
• Access policy management, NAT configurations, and IPsec/SSL VPN troubleshooting.
• Deep understanding of IDS/IPS, proxy systems, DLP, and application control.
• Network segmentation, including microsegmentation approaches.
• Proficiency with firewall integrations into SIEMs and monitoring ecosystems.
• Log analysis and advanced debugging of complex distributed environments.

Experience and Personal Qualities:

• 5–7+ years of experience managing
  -
  - large enterprise networks.
• Proven ability to lead network security projects, from planning to execution.
• Strong focus on process improvement and automation.
• Documentation skills and the ability to support external security audits.
• Proactive approach with excellent analytical thinking.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Certifications:

• Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE) or Check Point Certified Master (CCSM) .
• Fortinet NSE4 or higher (e. g. , NSE5, NSE7).
• Other relevant certifications: CISSP, CISM, Comp
  TIA Security+, Cisco CCNP Security.

Language Requirements:

• Fluency in Portuguese (spoken and written).
• Advanced technical English for communication, documentation, and troubleshooting.
