Job Description:

Job Title: Senior Oracle DBA

Job Type: B2B Contract

Location: Lisbon, Portugal (Hybrid work - 2x week)

Duration: 12 months initial contract + extension

Main Responsibilities

• Perform advanced performance tuning and optimization across Oracle, Postgre
  SQL, MSSQL, and Sybase environments.
• Deliver
  - level technical support to internal DBA teams and external client deployments.
• Ensure high availability, security, and resilience of all production and nonproduction database systems.
• Continuously monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot system and
  - level performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with developers, Dev
  Ops, and infrastructure teams to design scalable, efficient database architectures.
• Participate in R&D initiatives by evaluating new database features and technologies for integration into the CV platform.
• Lead database migrations, version upgrades, and patch management processes.
• Establish and maintain robust documentation and best practice guidelines for database operations.

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a professional DBA, with
  - level Oracle database administration.
• Hands-on experience with Postgre
  SQL, MSSQL, Sybase, and optionally Maria
  DB/My
  SQL.
• Deep knowledge of SQL scripting, query optimization, and execution plan analysis.
• Proven ability to conduct performance troubleshooting and root cause analysis in production environments.
• Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.
• Experience managing and supporting databases on cloud platforms, specifically Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e. g. , Oracle Enterprise Manager, pg
  Admin, etc. ) and automation frameworks is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and a
  - oriented, proactive mindset.
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or equivalent certifications.
• Experience working in agile/Scrum environments.
• Ability to engage with clients directly and provide
  - level support.

• Work Model: Hybrid work setup — 2 days/week onsite at Spaces, Marquês de Pombal, Lisbon.
