Mov. ai is the robotics engine platform empowering users to implement, share, deploy, and remotely operate robotic behaviors. Our mission is to set the standard runtime for companies deploying fleets of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) to automate repetitive warehouse tasks.

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Perception Engineer to lead our Robotics/Perception Team. In this role, you will drive the development of
- edge algorithms and systems that empower robots to localize, navigate, interact, and perform autonomously in complex environments. As a senior perception engineer, you will mentor and guide team members, foster collaboration, troubleshoot complex systems, and contribute strategically to our mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Define and oversee the development of
  -
  -
  - art techniques for sensor fusion, object detection, localization, and other perception technologies. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring the delivery of
  - quality, scalable solutions. Ability to take existing solutions and bring them to the next level. Collaborate with
  - functional teams to integrate perception systems into the
  - 's broader robotics platform.
• Hands-On Development: Actively participate in design, implementation, and assessment of algorithms and systems. Propose innovative approaches to solve existing and emerging technical challenges.

Qualifications

Education: M. Sc. or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in robotics algorithm development, with expertise in sensor fusion, computer vision, and SLAM-based localization.
• Proven experience with mentoring junior engineers.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in perception pipelines, from sensor data processing to
  -
  - end robotic solutions.
• Strong experience with ROS and/or other robotics frameworks
• Advanced proficiency in modern C++ and Python programming.
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
• Familiarity with Lidar-SLAM, PCL.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proactive,
  - solving mindset with a startup mentality.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Goal-oriented

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

• Expertise in object detection, semantic segmentation, and classification using images and 3D point clouds.
• Experience with ML/AI and CV libraries (e. g. ,
  - learn, Pandas, Sci
  Py, Tensor
  Flow/Py
  Torch, Open
  CV).
• Familiarity with perception pipelines in Simulation (Gazebo, Isaac Sim).
