Role Overview

As a Senior PHP Backend Engineer, you’ll build and scale
- performance backend systems powering global crypto payment flows. You will own the development of secure, reliable services, working closely with product and engineering teams to deliver features
-
- end—from technical design to deployment—while ensuring system performance, scalability, and code quality in a
- paced fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and
  - domain teams to gather requirements and deliver backend features.
• Develop and maintain backend systems using PHP (Laravel) and My
  SQL/Postgre
  SQL.
• Write clean, reusable, and efficient code following SOLID and modern PHP best practices.
• Design and implement
  - driven services (Kafka or similar).
• Write unit tests and participate in code reviews and architecture discussions.
• Optimize database queries, analyze performance, and resolve deadlocks.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems to ensure stability, availability, and security.
• Share
  - call duties to support production systems.
• Introduce new technologies where relevant to improve performance and maintainability.
  
  

• 5+ years of experience in
  - oriented PHP development
• Strong knowledge of Laravel (latest versions)
• Experience with relational databases (My
  SQL/Postgre
  SQL), transaction management, and optimization
• Solid background in message brokers (Kafka or alternatives)
• Hands-on experience with Docker/Docker Compose
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc. )
• Knowledge of security best practices for backend services
• Good communication skills in English (B1+) and Russian
• Agile/Scrum mindset and experience
  
  

• Experience in the crypto/fintech industry
• Interviewing and mentoring engineers
• Familiarity with
