Position: Senior PL/SQL Developer

Location: Lisbon – Hybrid (2–3 days onsite per week)

Start Date: ASAP

Work Permit: Candidates must possess a valid work permit for Portugal.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior PL/SQL Developer with strong expertise in Oracle database development and solid understanding of Java. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing database solutions to support business‑critical applications, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a PL/SQL Developer (5+ years).
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts, preferably Oracle.
• Expertise in query optimization and performance tuning.
• Practical understanding of Java and its interaction with Oracle databases.
• Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Fluent in English (B2 or higher); French is a nice asset.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient and reusable PL/SQL packages, procedures, and functions.
• Collaborate with application developers and architects to ensure seamless integration between PL/SQL and Java‑based components.
• Analyze and optimize complex SQL queries for better performance and scalability.
• Conduct performance tuning, troubleshooting, and debugging of database applications.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across all database environments.
• Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
