At YTEC, we are building a
- scale MQTT hosting platform designed to handle massive Io
T workloads with extreme reliability, performance, and availability.

We are looking for a
-
- staff level engineer who thrives at the intersection of infrastructure, distributed systems, and software engineering.

This is not a pure coding role and not a traditional Dev
Ops position. You will be a technical owner, deeply involved in architecture, scaling decisions, performance optimization, and infrastructure design.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Design, build, and scale a
- grade Io
T/MQTT platform used at large scale.

- Architect and operate
- availability cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent)

- Design scalable load balancing, routing, clustering, and failover strategies

- Work
- on with
- series databases (Influx
DB, Timescale
DB) and SQL systems

- Optimize
- throughput data ingestion and querying pipelines

- Develop and maintain robust backend services supporting MQTT workloads

- Diagnose and resolve complex performance and reliability issues

- Make key architecture and technology decisions with
- term impact

- Collaborate with senior engineers, Dev
Ops, and system administrators

What We’re Looking For

This role is aimed at experienced, senior engineers who have built and operated systems at scale.

Must-haves:

- 8+ years of experience in software engineering and infrastructure

- Strong Linux expertise (production-level)

- Deep experience with AWS (or similar cloud platforms)

- Containerization expertise (Docker, orchestration experience a big plus)

- Proven experience with
- series databases at scale

- Hands-on experience with MQTT-based Io
T systems

- Strong programming skills in Python, Bash, PHP, or similar

- Solid understanding of: Networking & TCP/IP, Load balancing & high availability. Distributed systems & fault tolerance

- Track record of troubleshooting complex,
- scale systems
