Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain internal developer platforms, leveraging Backstage and modern Dev
Ops practices . This role focuses on enabling developer productivity and operational excellence through automation, scalable platform solutions, and
- driven engineering.

The position is hybrid , requiring 3 days per week
- site with the client in Lisbon , and operates within the Insurance sector .

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance internal developer platforms using Backstage and related frameworks.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Git
  Ops workflows to support efficient and reliable deployments.
• Integrate container orchestration solutions ( Kubernetes, Docker ) into the platform architecture.
• Collaborate closely with product teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable platforms .
• Drive automation strategies and apply SRE principles to improve service reliability.
• Ensure observability and security are embedded into platform design and operations.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Backstage and platform engineering tools .
• Proficiency in Kubernetes , Docker , and Infrastructure as Code (Ia
  C) using Terraform .
• Solid understanding of CI/CD methodologies and modern software delivery pipelines .
• Familiarity with monitoring , logging , and incident response frameworks .

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to cloud-native environments and multi-cloud strategies .
• Knowledge of security best practices for platform engineering.

Qualifications & Experience

• Senior-level experience in platform engineering or related Dev
  Ops-focused roles.
• Proven ability to design and operate scalable, automated, and reliable platform solutions .
