Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain internal developer platforms, leveraging Backstage and modern Dev
Ops practices. This role focuses on enabling developer productivity and operational excellence through automation, scalable platform solutions, and
- driven engineering.

The position is hybrid, requiring 3 days per week
- site with the client in Lisbon, and operates within the Insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance internal developer platforms using Backstage and related frameworks.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Git
  Ops workflows to support efficient and reliable deployments.
• Integrate container orchestration solutions ( Kubernetes, Docker) into the platform architecture.
• Collaborate closely with product teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable platforms.
• Drive automation strategies and apply SRE principles to improve service reliability.
• Ensure observability and security are embedded into platform design and operations.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Backstage and platform engineering tools.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code (Ia
  C) using Terraform.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD methodologies and modern software delivery pipelines.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and incident response frameworks.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to cloud-native environments and multi-cloud strategies.
• Knowledge of security best practices for platform engineering.

Qualifications & Experience

• Senior-level experience in platform engineering or related Dev
  Ops-focused roles.
• Proven ability to design and operate scalable, automated, and reliable platform solutions.

• Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days per week
