Senior Product Engineer, EU

About the Role

We’re looking for an ambitious full‑stack engineer who is laser‑focused on solving customer problems and making the right long‑term investments.

At Ashby, you will take ownership of a significant portion of one of our products and handle projects end‑to‑end, wearing hats typically worn by product and design.

Responsibilities

• Research competitors, write product specs, create wireframes, and build the feature end‑to‑end.
• Design and build automated interview scheduling, a generalized declarative filter architecture, or an in‑app offer signing feature.
• Interview customers to understand requirements, prototype solutions, and collaborate with other teams to integrate the final implementation.

Qualifications

• Full‑stack experience across the entire technology stack; comfortable with front‑end and infrastructure.
• Experience delivering on projects with product and technical ambiguity.
• Ability to balance speed and quality; quick learning and strong fundamentals.
• Excellent collaborator and communicator, able to vet decisions with stakeholders and keep them updated.
• Self‑motivated, eager to create leverage and automate tedious work.
• At least senior‑level experience owning projects end‑to‑end; mentorship opportunities limited.

Interview Process

• Introduction call with Hiring Manager (15–30 min).
• Technical screen: pair‑programming in our codebase (1 h).
• Three non‑coding interviews focusing on product thinking, technical design, and infrastructure (total 3 h 15 min).
