Role Overview

The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for overseeing the activities of the quality assurance personnel, as well as being hands‑on in testing and methodical problem‑solving regarding Planet’s products. Along with key members of the quality assurance department, the Senior QA Analyst provides strategic leadership for the direction of Planet’s software testing roadmap. With 4‑5 years’ experience in a test environment, the Senior QA Analyst will help drive test automation within the team, leading to higher quality of delivered products.

What You Will Do

• Quality Assurance Measures: Lead the creation of quality assurance measures across the business, developing and enhancing both manual and automated test frameworks.
• Shifting Test Left: Actively take part in the discovery and design phases of new software/product feature development and promote continuous testing to guarantee an error‑free final product.
• Meet Requirements: Ensure that validated deliverables always meet functional, design specifications, and requirements of the software/products.
• Testing: Regularly execute software/product tests and record results during release cycles; review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
• Documentation: Develop and maintain functional test cases and all other test assets, such as data validation scripts and test data.
• Analytics: Conduct regular analysis of software/product requirements and produce test estimations.
• Collaboration: Work with software/product developers to drive issue resolution.
• Software Release: Work with development teams to ensure high‑quality and timely releases of software/products into the market.

Who You Are

• 4‑6 years of direct QA / software tester experience.
• Ability to provide direction and guidance to testers.
• Take ownership of tasks & projects to deliver the highest quality test service.
• Ability to help other team members deliver to a high‑quality standard.
• Estimation and scheduling experience.
• Experience in writing & executing project test plans and test cases based on business requirements.
• Excellent working knowledge of QA standards, processes, tools, and methodologies.
• ISTQB / ISEB (foundation) qualified.
• Test automation experience is a definite asset (desirable).
