Responsibilities

Research Skills
- Expertise in evaluating research opportunities, especially with ambiguous requests (importance, urgency, impact)
- Ability to manage, challenge, and shape inbound research requests and propose solid projects or programs
- Excellent project execution, exploring alternative methods, mixed methods, and innovative approaches
- Deep understanding of the pros and cons of quantitative and qualitative research; directing projects to appropriate methods
- Deep expertise in at least one domain (e. g. , Pricing), a user type (e. g. , Business traveler), or a method (e. g. , Diary Study) as the
- to expert - Triangulation of findings, methods, and theories to ensure reliability and depth
- Maximize value and efficiency of research using secondary research and expert inspection methods
- Solid knowledge of software tools for surveys, diary studies, analysis, etc. , and ability to apply the right tool to the problem
- Solid knowledge of GDPR, data compliance and ethics present in all activities

Qualifications
- Masters Degree or Ph
D or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science, Psychology, Social Science, or related field - 10+ years of relevant experience in
- facing business domains - Expert in quantitative research with experience in log analysis, internal metrics triangulation, survey design, response effects, sampling, crosstabs, and statistics
- Experience with qualitative methods and
- centered design (e. g. , interviews, diary studies, direct observation,
- aloud usability testing) - Comfortable with planning, scoping, conducting, analyzing, and communicating research
- Experience evaluating, negotiating, and working with external research vendors
- Ability to describe user problems and business opportunities to stakeholders using quantitative and qualitative data
- Strong critical thinking beyond business requests
- Excellent storytelling and communication to business people, product teams, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders (English)
