Our client is Europe’s only dedicated data centre delivery partner, offering full turnkey solutions from design through to construction and commissioning. NES are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a major data centre project in Europe. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the commercial management of the project, taking ownership of cost control, subcontractor management, and client engagement.

As a senior member of the commercial team, you will lead on procurement, oversee multiple complex subcontract packages, and provide strategic commercial guidance to ensure project success. This is a key leadership role, requiring strong technical, financial, and people management skills.

Requirements

• Responsible for measuring work packages from drawings and applying rates to work up package pricing
• Manage the project budget as directed by the Project Director
• Manage relevant client communications
• Compile monthly reports in accordance with procedure
• Attend monthly commercial and subcontractor meetings
• Resolve client/subcontractor disputes effectively
• Timely submission of claims/notices in accordance with contract provisions
• Document cost changes to the work scopes and prepare monthly valuations and final accounts

Skills, qualification & experience:

• 7+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying
• Excellent organisation, communication, and time management skills
• Attention to detail and analytically proficient
• Data Centre experience is advantageous
