GEDON Executive is seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a globally recognized Tier 1 International Contractor in Portugal . This is a
- value role focused on delivering complex,
- scale Hi-Tech facilities , including Data Centres, Pharmaceutical Plants, and Semiconductor facilities across the Iberian Peninsula and Europe.

This position is ideal for a senior professional seeking an international assignment with excellent compensation and a leadership role in technically demanding construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial Ownership: Take full commercial and contractual responsibility for major work packages (or full projects) within complex Hi-Tech facilities, ensuring rigorous financial management from contract award through to final account.
• International Contract Administration: Expertly administer and manage complex international contracts, such as FIDIC and other bespoke forms used in global technical construction projects.
• Financial Control: Prepare, manage, and report on detailed project budgets, forecasts, and accurate Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) to senior management and the Commercial Director.
• Claims & Variations: Proactively manage all claims, variations, and contractual changes (e. g. , compensation events), ensuring all entitlements are rigorously measured, valued, and negotiated.
• Subcontractor Management: Lead the procurement, contract negotiation, and commercial administration of specialist international subcontractors and suppliers.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify, assess, and mitigate complex commercial and contractual risks specific to
  - tech,
  - track construction, including foreign exchange and complex logistical challenges.

What You'll Bring

• Proven Experience: Demonstrable experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor (typically 7+ years) within a Tier 1 Main Contractor or Specialist Technical Contractor .
• Sector Expertise: Experience in Hi-Tech, complex facilities such as Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, Advanced Manufacturing, or Semiconductor plants is highly desirable.
• Contractual Knowledge: Expert working knowledge of international contract forms (FIDIC, NEC ) and practical experience managing
  - jurisdictional contracts.
• Commercial Acumen: Exceptional financial management, analytical, and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to drive
  - scale project profitability.
• Mobility: Willingness to relocate or be based in Portugal to support regional project delivery.

Compensation & Package

• Salary: Up to €120, 000
