Senior Salesforce Commerce Cloud Lead

We are looking for a Senior Salesforce Commerce Cloud Lead a hybrid project in Lisbon.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of SFCC developers, administrators, and business analysts to deliver
- quality solutions.
Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
Oversee hiring, training, and performance evaluations for the SFCC team.
Platform Strategy & Implementation:
Architect, design, and implement Salesforce Commerce Cloud solutions to support
- commerce, customer
- service portals, and digital engagement for utility services.
Collaborate with
- functional teams (e. g. , marketing, customer service, IT, and operations) to define and execute the digital commerce strategy.
Ensure the SFCC platform is optimized for scalability, performance, and security to meet the needs of a large customer base.
Solution Development & Customization:
Lead the development of custom SFCC solutions, including storefronts, payment integrations, and customer account management features tailored to the utilities industry.
Oversee integrations with other enterprise systems (e. g. , CRM, ERP, billing systems) to ensure seamless data flow and operational efficiency.
Drive the adoption of best practices in SFCC development, including Demandware Script, ISML, and API integrations.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Present solution designs, roadmaps, and progress updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Act as the primary point of contact for SFCC-related initiatives within the organization.
Performance Optimization & Analytics:
Monitor and optimize the performance of the SFCC platform, ensuring high availability, fast load times, and an exceptional user experience.
Leverage Salesforce analytics and reporting tools to provide insights into customer behavior, sales trends, and platform performance.
Implement A/B testing and other optimization strategies to enhance customer engagement and conversion rates.
Compliance & Security:
Ensure the SFCC platform adheres to industry regulations, data privacy standards (e. g. , GDPR, CCPA), and security best practices.
Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to implement robust security measures for customer data and transactions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
8+ years of experience working with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior technical role.
Proven experience leading a team in delivering SFCC solutions, preferably within the utilities, energy, or a related regulated industry.
Deep knowledge of SFCC architecture, including Demandware Script, ISML, OCAPI, and
- party integrations.
Strong understanding of
- commerce best practices, payment gateways, and customer experience optimization.
Experience with enterprise integrations (e. g. , Salesforce CRM, SAP, Oracle, or other billing/ERP systems).
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and Dev
Ops practices (CI/CD, Git, etc. ).
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Salesforce Commerce Cloud certifications (e. g. , Salesforce Certified B2C Commerce Developer, Architect, or Technical Architect) are highly desirable.
Knowledge of the utilities industry, including billing, metering, or customer engagement processes, is a plus.
