Randstad is recruiting an Senior SAP ABAP Engineer for direct integration into a client in Aveiro (North).

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior SAP Engineer to join our Digital & IT – ERP Competence Center team. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering
- quality SAP solutions, has solid expertise in S/4HANA development, and enjoys working in a collaborative,
- functional environment.

As a Senior SAP Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining custom enhancements and interfaces to support our business processes. You will collaborate with functional consultants and stakeholders, contribute to project delivery, ensure system stability, and actively support continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical solutions that align with business needs and SAP best practices.
• Support system stability and evolution across the SAP landscape.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and other IT teams.
• Contribute to incident resolution and system integration activities.
• Ensure compliance with development standards and quality expectations.
• Develop and enhance custom applications and extensions in S/4HANA / BTP using ABAP, CDS Views, CAP and OData.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions in collaboration with functional consultants.
• Support Fiori/UI5 application development and backend integration.
• Ensure developments follow SAP clean core principles and extensibility best practices.
• Participate in peer reviews, contribute to coding standards, and mentor junior team members.
• Perform unit testing, support integration and UAT phases, and assist with defect resolution.
• Document technical solutions, share knowledge, and improve development processes.

Qualifications

• University Degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field)
• 7+ years of experience in SAP development, with focus on S/4HANA
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Focus on continuous improvement
• Fluent in English
