Overview
Senior Scientist with expertise in theoretical and computational modeling to join our research team. If you are a physicist, mathematician, or physical chemist who loves bridging the gap between theory and experiment, we want to hear from you!
We are seeking a Senior Scientist with expertise in theoretical and computational modeling to develop mathematical frameworks, computational simulations, and analytical methods to describe complex physical systems, working closely with experimentalists and interdisciplinary scientists to validate and refine models. Your insights will influence experimental design, data interpretation, and technology development, ensuring a tight loop between theory and practice.
If you enjoy bridging the gap between theory and experiment and developing models with
- world impact in a
- paced, collaborative environment, this is the perfect opportunity to push the boundaries of physical science.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine mathematical models for complex physical systems targeting personalized medicine, ensuring applicability to
- world experiments. - Collaborate with experimental teams, translating theoretical predictions into testable hypotheses and guiding data collection and analysis.
- Apply analytical and computational techniques, including simulations and numerical modeling, to study physical phenomena.
- Utilize statistical physics, quantum mechanics, and applied mathematics to extract meaningful insights from experimental data.
- Assist in analyzing and interpreting experimental data, aligning theoretical expectations with practical feasibility.
- Stay up to date with advances in physics, computational modeling, and spectroscopy for clinical applications.
- Communicate findings across disciplines to align theoretical and experimental efforts.
- Contribute to research publications, patents, and presentations at major conferences.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in theoretical and computational physics or applied mathematics and apply concepts to
- world experiments in interdisciplinary settings. - Collaborate with experimentalists, engineers, and applied scientists at the interface of theory and experiment.
- Proficiency in numerical modeling, simulations, and data analysis using Python, Julia, or similar tools.
- Develop and implement physical models, differential equations, and computational frameworks to solve complex problems.
- Experience with
- driven approaches, signal processing, or machine learning for scientific applications is a plus. - Demonstrate curiosity for solving interdisciplinary challenges with an innovative,
- solving mindset. - Excellent communication skills to translate complex theoretical concepts for
- specialists. - Proven track record of scientific publications in
- reviewed journals or major conferences.
Qualifications
- Ph
D or MSc in Physics, Applied Mathematics, Theoretical Physics, Physical Chemistry, Mathematics, or a related field. Exceptional candidates with a Master’s degree and extensive research experience will also be considered. - +3 years of experience in academia or industry, with modelling and simulations that connect to experimental applications.
- Experience developing theories/models tested in experimental setups.
- Previous collaboration with experimental physicists, engineers, or applied scientists.
- Experience supervising junior researchers is welcome but not required.
This is a unique opportunity to work on
- impact projects at the intersection of theory and experiment, developing models that shape
- edge technology and scientific discoveries. We’d love to hear from you if this excites you.
