- funded UK-based startup, hire a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for their new office in Porto.

Our customer is a business identity platform that enables the onboarding of businesses of any size easily and instantly. Our products create trust for financial service providers (our customers) to seamlessly verify, onboard, and monitor businesses (their clients).

Position Overview

We are looking for a Dev
Ops Engineer to join our team. You will shape the design and architecture of the core platform and work closely with the founding team to deliver value to our clients.

As an
- stage startup, we pride ourselves on our ability to build from scratch. We will ship code frequently and learn as we go, while satisfying all critical security, performance, and uptime requirements for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize database performance, scalability, and availability
• Manage Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Networking to support
  - performance workloads
• Implement incident response and reliability engineering best practices to maintain uptime and mitigate risks
• Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline infrastructure operations
• Use Terraform, Cloud
  Formation, or similar tools to manage infrastructure efficiently
• Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies
• Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for seamless application deployment
• Leverage Cloud Run and other serverless technologies to enhance performance and scalability

Qualifications

• Effective and
  - driven builder
• Proven track record (5+ years) building and owning a complete
  -
  - end technology stack (Backend, CI/CD, Logging, Monitoring, Alerting)
• 3+ years of
  - on Python experience in production environments
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with Kubernetes (GKE) and container orchestration, including Helm or Kustomize integration for Argo
  CD
• Familiarity with Terraform
• Skilled in designing and implementing
  - facing REST APIs and asynchronous architectures (e. g. , queues, pub/sub, lambdas, webhooks)
• Strong expertise in relational database modeling, using Postgre
  SQL in production
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Well-versed in Dev
  Ops best practices, such as CI/CD
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment
