The Acuity Scheduling team is looking for experienced Frontend Engineers who have design experience and are motivated by the desire to create interfaces that are a pleasure to use.

Acuity Scheduling is a distinct brand and platform within the Squarespace suite whose mission is to help appointment‑based businesses start and grow their service by enabling clients to schedule appointments and freeing our users’ time.

We are looking for a Frontend Engineer who is eager to apply technical skills and is passionate about solving complex web challenges. You will collaborate with engineers and designers to deliver customer‑focused experiences, develop features, and create fulfilling user experiences.

This is a hybrid role working from our Aveiro office 3 days per week. You will report to the Software Engineering Manager.

What You’ll Get To

• Develop new features into the Squarespace interface
• Lead collaborative work with engineers and designers to create customer‑focused experiences
• Keep the product updated with the latest frontend technologies such as React and ES2016+
• Practice disciplined software engineering (e. g. , automated testing, code reviews, and writing readable code)
• Contribute to team and company standards
• Mentor junior team members

Who We’re Looking For

• Java
  Script development skills, understanding of ES6 concepts, and proficiency in React, Angular, or other modern JS frameworks
• Experience developing large‑scale application software
• Full knowledge of the DOM, HTML5 constructs, and CSS3
• Experience with Single Page Application development
• Keep up‑to‑date with new technologies
• Develop features and create fulfilling user experiences
• Understanding of and practical experience with web application development
• Commitment to writing readable and dependable code
• BS in Computer Science or related or equivalent industry experience
• 5+ years of experience
