- centric technology company! We’re looking for an engineer passionate about backend development AND capable of assisting with
- end projects when needed.

The Monetization and Entitlements Engineering team is crucial to Pager
Duty's success as a growing global business. We seek engineers who enjoy delivering key initiatives across the organization.

As a senior member of this team, you will build and maintain software and communicate with internal and
- technical stakeholders to keep business moving forward.

Established in late 2021, Lisbon, Portugal, is Pager

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, code, test, and ship microservices and user interfaces to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions, working across backend and frontend systems.
• Collaborate closely with engineers across teams, as we own and operate what we build.
• Improve systems that manage millions of dollars in revenue, focusing on checkout, licensing, and billing features.
• Address technical challenges and scale our product for a growing customer base of over 14, 000 worldwide.
• Participate in
  - call rotations, triaging and resolving production issues.

Basic Qualifications:

• 10+ years of development experience.
• Strong communication skills for
  - functional collaboration.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, Phoenix/Elixir, React, or willingness to learn our tech stack.
• Experience developing
  - facing web systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience designing and operating large, scalable systems.
• Experience working in agile environments with iterative development.
• Knowledge of tools for automated deployment and quality assurance.
• Experience working in distributed, global teams.

This role requires coming into our Lisbon office once a month to thrive in your role and embrace being a Dutonian!
