Note: This role is 100% remote, and you can be based anywhere within the GMT time zone. However, you must be eligible for employment in Portugal.

Responsibilities

• Collaborative Solution Delivery: Collaborate with
  - functional teams to define, design, and deliver
  - quality software solutions.
• Software Feature Development: Develop and implement complex software features and components, contributing to overall functionality.
• Architectural Contribution: Contribute to architectural decisions and evolution of the software platform, ensuring robustness and scalability.
• Technical Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve technical issues, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies to maintain a smooth development process.
• Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement and optimization of software development processes.
• Long-Term Vision and Decision-Making: Contribute to the
  - term vision for applications through thoughtful daily choices.
• Mentorship and Guidance: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Industry Trends Incorporation: Stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate relevant technologies into development processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, design patterns, and best practices.
• 5+ years of professional Ruby and Ruby on Rails experience.
• Backend development skills, API design, and experience with databases.
• Familiarity with at least one frontend technology/framework (e. g. , React or Angular).
• Strong
  - solving abilities and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Proficient in Git and Git
  Hub for version control.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in Saa
  S/Enterprise software.
• Mentorship ability to coach junior team members.
• Fluency in English is mandatory for effective communication.
