We’re looking for Senior Software Engineers who want to work on
- scale, distributed systems and solve complex data and architecture challenges — all in service of a mission that matters.

Responsibilities

• As a Senior Software Engineer, design, build, and scale
  - native services and backend systems.
• Build and maintain backend services that process and enrich massive volumes of data — extracting signals from media sources, applying machine learning models, and merging insights with structured datasets.
• Join a
  - functional squad and help drive backend architecture decisions as we continue to evolve and scale our systems.
• Design APIs and backend services that are robust, secure, and performant under load.
• Implement
  - driven workflows using Kafka and manage distributed processing pipelines.
• Ensure code quality through tests, code reviews, observability best practices, and Dev
  Ops ownership.
• Take technical ownership and contribute to mentoring less experienced engineers in the team.
• Work with a fully
  - based Kubernetes-focused stack across multiple regions.
• Development is organized around Kotlin and Python for backend and Type
  Script/ES6+React for frontend.
• Work with relational databases (Postgres, Yugabyte) and utilize an
  - sourced model powered by Kafka; g
  RPC is used for
  - service communication.
• Leverage modern observability solutions, Git
  Lab tooling, and Argo
  CD for deployment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building backend systems in Kotlin or Java.
• Understanding of modern backend architecture: microservices, APIs, event sourcing.
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems or
  - scale data processing.
• Experience deploying and maintaining production systems on cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
• Ability to write clean, testable,
  - documented code and care about quality.
• Comfort with CI/CD, containerisation, and observability tools.
• Ability to mentor teammates, lead by example, and thrive in collaborative environments.

Nice to have

• Experience working in
  - disciplinary teams with ML engineers or SREs.
• Familiarity with
  -
  - code, security best practices, or SRE practices.
• Exposure to agile development, pair programming, and continuous delivery.

Education

• BSc/BA degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline OR relevant years of experience with required skills.
