Who are we looking for?

At FOSSA we develop, manufacture and validate a multitude of
- stack tools. From tools for clients, to operational tools for ground control of satellites, among others.

We are actively looking for a Software Engineer to support the activities at the Portugal office. You will participate in the different stages of the development cycle for our solutions, with a special focus on the user segment, ensuring efficient and scalable applications that enhance connectivity and usability.

You will be able to participate in the different steps of the development cycle for all our internal and external tools in ground, space and user segments.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop efficient, scalable, and
  - friendly
  -
  - end solutions for both
  - end and
  - end systems.
• Develop web applications using Java
  Script, React, and other relevant technologies.
• Design, implement, and maintain REST APIs.
• Program Python scripts for various tasks and functionalities.
• Manage Linux-based systems and environments.
• Handle database management and data processing.

Profile:

• Computer science or telecommunications degree.
• 3 years of minimum related experience.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java
  Script and Python.
• Solid understanding of REST API design and implementation.
• Knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and Java
  Script.
• Knowledge of React.
• Experience with both relational (e. g. , My
  SQL) and
  - relational databases (e. g. , Mongo
  DB).
• Strong
  - solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being capable of working independently and taking initiative when necessary.
• Full professional proficiency in English.

Preferably:

• Experience with Linux, Docker, Git
  Hub, and automation/deployment in server environments.
• Familiarity with Io
  T protocols and communication standards.
• Demonstrable interest in the space sector.
• Experience with personal or
  - initiated development projects.
