Overview

Senior Solar Engineer to lead the engineering design and delivery of commercial and industrial solar PV projects. Location: Portugal or Spain (with occasional travel to Switzerland). This role manages projects through all phases—from design and energy yield analysis to construction oversight—ensuring compliance with local and Swiss codes, regulations, and industry standards. A proactive engineer with strong communication skills who thrives in a dynamic environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering design of commercial and industrial solar PV systems tailored to the specified markets.
• Perform energy yield analysis and system sizing using tools like PVSyst.
• Collaborate with sales teams to develop technical proposals.
• Conduct technical reviews to ensure projects meet regulatory and quality standards.
• Optimize system layouts for performance, reliability, and
  - efficiency.
• Oversee construction, installation, and commissioning activities in coordination with project management.
• Occasionally travel to Switzerland for office and site visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrotechnical Engineering, Renewable Energies, or related fields.
• Minimum 3 years of practical experience in solar PV projects, preferably in the commercial and industrial segments.
• Proactive,
  - oriented mindset with strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Willingness to travel as required.
